CONFLUENT: DATA STREAMING REPORT
THE BRIEF
Published annually by Confluent, the Data Streaming Report explores how organizations are using real-time data to unlock value, drive innovation, and stay competitive in today’s fast-paced business landscape. It highlights key findings and showcases how IT leaders are leveraging data streaming platforms to operate at the speed of modern business.
For this year’s release, the goal was to create a teaser video that builds excitement and anticipation—something bold and impactful to capture attention and generate buzz ahead of the report’s debut.
MY CONTRIBUTIONS
I was fortunate to take the lead on this project, building it from the ground up with full creative ownership. Starting with just a basic concept and a few reference points, I set out to craft something bold, polished, and visually striking—something that felt modern while staying true to the brand’s identity and vision.
Scroll down to see how it evolved—from initial rough storyboards to a fully animated piece, complete with voiceover and sound design. The project was created in Cinema 4D, rendered in Redshift, and composited in After Effects.
CREATIVE PROCESS
This project followed a hands-on, iterative process—my favorite way to work. I explored, adjusted, and refined in real-time to push the piece as far as possible and make it both impactful and memorable. From initial sketches and playblasts to style frames and final renders, it was a rewarding opportunity to stretch my creative thinking.
As is often the case, the biggest challenge was the time crunch. Tight deadlines require trade-offs, and they inevitably shape what a project can become. I’m proud of what was accomplished under pressure—but like any creative, there are always things I’d tweak with more time.
