SANISURE
THE BRIEF
SaniSure is a leader in single-use technology for the bioprocessing and medical industries. To support their marketing initiatives and website overhaul, they required a comprehensive library of high-fidelity product renders. The objective was to create a set of assets that showcased the technical complexity, modularity, and sterile quality of their fluid management systems—ranging from complex tubing assemblies to varying bottle sizes—for use across tradeshow signage, digital collateral, and technical documentation.
MY CONTRIBUTIONS
I served as the lead 3D artist for the SaniSure product asset library. My role was to translate their engineering-grade components into clean, photorealistic marketing assets. I managed the end-to-end modeling and texturing for a dozen unique product assemblies, ensuring each detail, from the tubing clamps to the connector housing, was accurately represented. I produced cohesive renders for varying product sizes, maintaining consistent lighting and scale across the entire line to ensure the SaniSure brand appeared uniform in digital and print formats. Additionally, I generated technical cutaways and detail-oriented renders that highlighted specific features, such as cap assembly, flow paths, and modular connectivity.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The primary challenge with medical device rendering is maintaining clinical, sterile realism while creating something visually engaging. I utilized Cinema 4D and Redshift to manage complex lighting setups, focusing on the refraction and translucency of the plastics to ensure the fluids appeared authentic and the components felt medical-grade. If you’ve ever had to render transparency against a white background, you understand my pain.
Because many of these assets are used for technical documentation, precision was paramount. I carefully balanced the studio lighting, using neutral, high-key environments, to remove distractions and allow the complexity of the tubing and assembly hardware to speak for itself. For the larger assemblies, I developed a modular shader library, allowing me to maintain consistent materials across different configurations of tubing, connectors, and bottle sizes without compromising render quality.
